The Williamsburg Community Foundation is honored to continue awarding annual grants from the Jenny E. Wible Fund, ensuring her legacy lives on through meaningful contributions to our community. This significant bequest serves as a lasting testament to her dedication and kind heart, underscoring the powerful impact of planned giving on our community.
Since 2017, WCF has provided annual grants to three organizations through the Jenny E. Wible Fund. Thanks to the prudent management of this endowment, the grants have grown each year, allowing for greater support of causes that mattered to Jenny. This year’s grants totaled more than $130,000.
One of the beneficiaries is Walsingham Academy, which has received funding to provide need-based tuition assistance to students.
Sister Mary Jeanne Oesterle, President of Walsingham, expressed her gratitude, saying, “The Wible grant enables us to provide need-based tuition assistance to families who otherwise would not be able to afford the cost of tuition. Socioeconomic diversity benefits the entire school and community, as it enriches the educational experience and develops more compassionate citizens.”
Salvation Army and St. Bede Catholic Church also receive annual grants from the Jenny E. Wible Fund.
WCF encourages community members to consider leaving a legacy that supports causes they are passionate about. Legacy gifts, like that of Jenny E. Wible, can provide enduring benefits and shape the future of local nonprofits for generations to come.
