Feb. 25, 2025 – The Williamsburg Community Foundation announces the election of new officers and trustees to its Board of Trustees. During its February 20 meeting, the Board elected David E. Bush, CPA, CFP, PFS as Treasurer and Ti’Juana Gholson as Secretary. Alison V. Lennarz continues as Chair and Melinda B. Morgan as Vice Chair.
The Board also welcomed four newly elected trustees: Cheri Green, CFP; Edward Robinson; Erin A. Smith; and Mychael C. Willon. Each brings extensive professional experience and a deep commitment to community service.
Cheri Green, CFP, Private Wealth Advisor at Olde Point National Bank, brings over 20 years of banking experience and community leadership to WCF’s’ Board of Trustees. She works with high-net-worth individuals with their wealth planning and management, tax planning, investments, retirement solutions, and trust services.
A College of William & Mary graduate, she serves on the Williamsburg Community Health Foundation board and has held leadership roles with local nonprofits focused on housing, food security, and business. Ms. Green’s contributions have earned her several honors, including Top 15 Under 50 (2020) from the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance, Top 40 Under 40 (2014) from Inside Business, and Woman of the Year (2003) from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is also a member of the WCF Distribution Committee.
Edward Robinson, a native of the UK and naturalized American citizen, has called Williamsburg home for more than 20 years. Mr. Robinson is retired from a 31-year career with Mars Incorporated. Initially starting in the UK, he subsequently moved to Holland, where he held the position of CFO for the European Candy Business. He relocated to New Jersey, ultimately serving as CFO for the Mars Inc. North American region.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Cambridge University, a masters in Operational Research from Lancaster University, and is a Chartered Management Accountant. His active support of the greater Williamsburg community includes serving as an Executive Partner for the College of William & Mary’s Mason Business School, and several positions, including Treasurer and Chair, on the board of Child Development Resources. He currently serves on the WCF Finance & Investment Committee.
Erin A. Smith serves as a Wealth Strategist for the Truist Virginia Wealth Team. She has practiced law in estate and trust administration for over a decade in the Williamsburg area where she supported clients in making decisions about how to effectively structure their estate plans to achieve their long-term legacy goals. She works with works with ultrahigh-net worth families with their planning needs, including estate and tax planning, wealth transfer and asset protection, and charitable gift planning.
Passionate about her community, Erin served for many years as an adjunct professor and the Managing Director at the Elder and Disability Law Clinic at William & Mary Law School. She also served as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem for children and incapacitated adults, as well as counsel for CASA (“Court Appointed Special Advocates”) in Williamsburg, VA. Erin serves on the Board of Directors for Literacy for Life and on the WCF Scholarship Committee.
Mychael C. Willon a retired school superintendent and military spouse, brings decades of experience in education and administration across school districts in New York, Maryland, New Jersey, and Kansas. He holds a B.S. and M.Ed. from the University of Maryland and has served as an adjunct professor at Baruch College in NYC, New York; Wichita State University, and Kansas Newman University.
Active in education advocacy, Mr. Willon serves on Virginia’s Military Student Support Process Action Team and chairs the Williamsburg-James City County Special Education Advisory Committee. He is also President-Elect of the Virginia Middle School Association, Schools to Watch Director, and a board member of the National Forum. Additionally, he serves on the Williamsburg-James City County Schools Foundation board, the Military Family Advisory Network’s Advisory Board, and the WCF Distribution and Scholarship Committees.
The Williamsburg Community Foundation board also honored the work and leadership of retiring trustees Loretta K. Conen; John H. Haldeman; Joe Harrow; Dr. Henry Ranger, PharmD; and Carter Sonders.
