The Economic Mobility Scholarship Fund is designed to help provide money for the certification process of many well-paying careers.
In 2022, Dian Calderone established the Economic Mobility Scholarship Fund. “The purpose of this fund is to support non-traditional, underserved individuals who are unable to access funding for education and training that will assist them in becoming financially stable.” said Dian. There are multiple avenues to pursue these credentials but all come at a cost. Local community colleges and healthcare systems often focus their scholarship giving on students coming out of high school, making it harder for individuals who have had a delayed start on a profession for a variety of reasons.
This fund — which anyone can contribute to — helps to pay for a variety of educational costs, such as commercial driver’s license test fees, certificate programs for X-ray technicians, medical billing coder and special trade contractor training, to name a few.
