In 2015, WCF founder and longtime supporter John Jamison established the Peter and the Wolf Fund to support performances of the beloved composition by Sergei Prokofiev for Williamsburg-James City County students. The late Mr. Jamison was inspired by this music as a young child. He was passionate about sharing the joy of music with children.
Thanks to his generosity, and many others who contributed to this fund, all nine W-JCC elementary schools -- over 5,000 children -- were delighted by performances of Peter and the Wolf by the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra in January of 2020.
