Williamsburg Community Foundation is excited to once again partner with Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg who will support three scholarships for students planning to pursue a career in health services, with preference given to a student demonstrating financial need. This is the sixth year in a row that Riverside Doctors’ Hospital has funded this scholarship for local students. This scholarship is one of over 50 scholarships that will be awarded through the Williamsburg-James City County Scholarship Fund to students graduating from Jamestown, Lafayette, and Warhill High Schools. This is a community-wide effort to recognize the accomplishments of local students as they graduate from high school and support their further educational achievements. In June 2017, 51 scholarships valued at $61,600 were awarded to local students. Funds raised to support scholarship come from individuals, families, high school parent-teacher associations, civic groups and local businesses like Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg.
Students interested in applying for a scholarship can visit WilliamsburgCommunityFoundation.org and apply online. Deadline to apply is March 18, 2018 at 8pm EST. Scholarships are awarded in consideration of these factors: curriculum difficulty, class rank, extra-curricular activities, application essay, and financial need.
